P4 Music Presents: Imogen Heap at Cardiff Coal Exchange
19th April, 2010
Grammy Award winning artist Imogen Heap arrives in Cardiff this November the 10th, to play at the historic Coal Exchange venue in Cardiff Bay. Heap is back in Wales promoting her current album ‘Eclipse', which bagged her two Grammy Nominations and one win at the awards in February.
The Romford born multi-instrumentalist, who is renowned for embracing multi-media technology to keep connected to her rabidly loyal world-wide fanbase, continues the promotion of her third album which she's been touring globally since its release in 2009. Upon completing her current tour throughout North America, Heap returns to her homeland and festival shows at Glastonbury and V Festival in the summer, before heading back out on the road for a UK Tour in October and November.
Her latest album ‘Eclipse' exploded in the US, debuting at No 5 on the Billboard Album Chart on 2009, went straight in at No 4 on the Canadian Album charts, debuted at No 1 on the UK iTune Electronic Chart and became her first UK Top 40 album.
With The Sunday Times Culture naming her as "The future of pop", The Telegraph stating "She is a compelling singer-songwriter with emotive lyrics, a strong sense of melody and elegant pop construction" and The Guardian describing ‘Ellipse' as "Lovely stuff", now is the time to catch her live.
